Entries will be judged by votes in lock boxes at each bale station! Votes will be cast by $1 bills. Each group will keep the $1 bills in their boxes. Money will be collected and held by the fair association each evening and awarded to each group at the end of the fair.
RULES
Participation will be open to all Non-Profit and Youth Clubs, Groups, Organizations in Franklin County.
Bales can be placed lying on their side or standing erect.
The hay bales approximate measurements are: 4 1/2 ft. long, or tall, if standing, the circumference is 4 ft., and the height is 4 ft.
For safety purposes, bales will not be stacked. Also, note that not all bale locations will be on grass; some may be located on a hard surface.
DO NOT PUNCTURE THE BALE WRAP. (These bales are donated and will be returned to the farm after the fair to be used as feed)
Tape may be used to attach items to the bale.
Paint (non-toxic only) may be applied to the hay bale but not to the surrounding grass.
Bales should be decorated with good, clean, wholesome ideas. No vulgar or suggestive decorations are allowed
Groups may begin decorating their bales on Friday September 13 and they must be completed by 8:00 am Sunday September 15th.
It is the responsibility of each group to remove their decorations after the fair. Decorations not removed by 5:00 P.M. Sunday September 22nd, will be discarded.
